Are You Doing "It?"

FACT
Each day we wake up, we can be great.

FACT
We get the chance to be new again and change our lives & those of everyone around us.

FACT
It's easy for us to do the familiar, comfortable things. It takes forethought to rise up, reach out and change. But, oh, it's so much fun, becoming new.

RESULT
When we seize our adventuresome spirit, we position ourselves to change.

EXAMPLE OF CHANGE
For many years, I hadn't drunk enough water. Why, you may ask? I hadn't yet found
the system to change my habit. I was stuck in my routine behavior.

Until...
I spoke to someone about water and committed out loud,

"I will drink more water."

RESULT
I realized I already had the tools: my phone and its calendar.
I set 4 water appointments a day. (All I needed was to have committed out loud.)
Now, I'm drinking water.

CHOOSING YOUR "IT"
So what's your "it," the habit you want to change?
Eating less? Asking someone out? Signing up for school? Doing tai chi?
As Captain Planet said, "The power is yours."

ACTION STEPS TO DO "IT"
1) Get up and smile.
2) Stop and relax for 10 seconds.
3) Pick your "it," the habit you want to change.
4) Say out loud so that someone hears,

"I commit to do my 'it' starting today."

5) Set an alarm, and follow through daily.
